Top 5 Tips to a Positive Mindset


It’s easy to tell people to be positive, it might even be easy to hear but to implement? Well, we can’t always be positive, especially when we deal with our day-to-day stressors. We’re not all lucky enough to wake up with the lyrics to Walking On Sunshine in our head and a bright and sunny day where all the lights turn green while driving. So how do you acquire a positive mindset when you’re feeling less than?



Tip #1 - Practice Gratefulness

This is a great way to put yourself into a positive mindset because it makes you aware of how many amazing things are already going for you. When you wake up in the morning or throughout your day, point out something that you’re grateful for. It can be the meal you’re going to eat, the walks you get to take or the shower you’re going to step into. You can always find something to be grateful for.


Tip #2 - Enjoy The Little Things

This plays into practicing gratefulness but is it’s own because it keeps you looking out for… well, all the small things. A sunny day? Your favorite song coming on the radio? No bills in the mail? It’s the little things that we should celebrate!

Tip #3 - Make A To Do List

Giving yourself the grace to work through things can be very helpful and it can help you tackle what you might’ve previously considered a mountain.

Tip #4 - Get Out Of Your Head

This one can be tough, and it may take a bit of practice but once you figure it out, you’ll be doing yourself a massive favor. Once you’re already feeling a negative or anxious cloud roll in, it could be easy to consider your positive mindset too distant for you to reach. But if you find something to be grateful for, ground yourself or enjoy something small (or even something big!) you’ll be able to live in the now!


Life is full of ups and downs; you might find yourself constantly trying to find a balance that works for you. You can’t always expect to be happy naturally, but you can find ways to pull yourself into that mindset with a few of these steps!
